About Us
Our Mission:
To reach out to lost bikers for Christ in a culturally relevant way, presenting the Good News and sincerely loving people as they are without judging them for their appearance or past.
Who We
Are:
We are a group of motorcycle riding believers who recognize that not everyone feels comfortable walking into a "mainstream" church. All of us have experienced the looks and stares from those that don't understand just what it means to be on two wheels. That we don't wear leather just to look tough, but that it is for protection from the wind and cold. That loud pipes aren't just for noise but also to make motorists more aware that we are on the road. Yes, we may be thrill seekers, even daredevils at times but we also work hard and willingly lend a helping hand to those who need it.
What We Believe:
We believe that God sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to the Earth as an
infant born of a virgin birth. Also that Jesus Christ was crucified on the
cross to pay for our sins and that he rose from the dead and now dwells in
heaven. And only through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ can we
have eternal life in
heaven.
How We Began:
We began as a group of bikers meeting at The Crossing coffee shop for a Bible
study when the idea of organizing an outreach
ministry for fellow bikers was born. That Bible study group plus a few
others formed the core of "Bikers at the Crossing." Our first meeting was
held on September 12, 2004 with a hog roast following the
meeting.
